I Sam 16   Samuel anoints David

First, the Lord tells Samuel to stop grieving over Saul.
Then He tells him to go anoint David.
Samuels response was "How can I go?"

- Somehow this really touched me. Samuel was human, and he was afraid. I don't remember seeing Samuel question anything the Lord has told him until now. He just did it. Israel feared him. The elders of Bethlehem trembled before him.   But now you see him grieving over Saul and questioning God. And what delights me is that God gives him a solution in his dilemma...."take a heifer and tell them you've come to sacrifice to Me..."
